Jersey Post raises over £15,000 for JCCT

Posted • 21 February 2024

Jersey Post raised £15,830 for Jersey Childcare Trust (JCCT) in 2023, which was their Charity of the Year voted for by Jersey Post employees.

Fiona Vacher, Executive Director at JCCT, says: “Being chosen as Jersey Post’s Charity of the Year in 2023 was an honour for us all at Jersey Child Care Trust. You have raised money, got involved with us, volunteered at our events, helped us tell others what we do and we have loved making new connections with you all.  Thank you.”

The Jersey Post employee charity committee organised social events such as music bingo nights and karaoke, competitions including ‘guess the weight of the Easter Egg’, and bake sales. Jersey Post employees also volunteered at JCCT events, including Jersey Red rugby matches; and collecting boxes were also placed at Jersey Post HQ and in flagship branches at Rue des Pres and Broad Street.

Mark Siviter, CEO of Jersey Post, says: “It’s been a privilege to work with Fiona and the JCCT last year, and we’re delighted to support the vital work the charity does with families on our Island, helping children to have their best start in life. Serving our Island community is at the heart of everything we do here at Jersey Post. Thank you also to everyone who worked so hard to organise these fundraising events and to those who gave their time and effort at Jersey Post.”

More information on JCCT can be found at www.jcct.org.je.

Jersey Post’s 2024 Chosen Charity is Family Nursing & Home Care. A fundraising schedule will be announced shortly.
