New Post & Go stamps to feature Jersey Coastal Flowers

Six new Post & Go stamps featuring a selection of coastal flowers found in Jersey will be issued by Jersey Post on 12 February 2020.

Illustrated by natural history and botanical illustrator, Lizzie Harper, the six flowers featured on the stamps are: Sea-holly, Seaside Daisy, Common Centaury, Sea Rocket, Yellow Horned-poppy and Rough Star-thistle.

Post & Go stamps are self-adhesive stamp labels with the postage printed on demand. They can be bought either as single stamps or in strips of six. As well as being available to vend from the JE02 kiosk at Jersey’s main Broad Street post office and from the JE03 kiosk at Postal Headquarters, Rue Des Pres, Jersey Coastal Flowers Collectors Strips will be available from Jersey Post’s back office B002 kiosk through the Philatelic Bureau.

Lizzie Harper is a freelance natural history and botanical illustrator with a keen love of nature. Her favourite subjects are grasses, beetles, and wild flowers. Lizzie’s scientific training as a zoologist helps complement her illustrations. She works in watercolour, pencil, and pen. With over 25 years of experience as a freelance illustrator, she has a broad range of clients. As well as creating the designs for Jersey Post’s new Post & Go issue, Jersey Coastal Flowers, Lizzie created the designs for Jersey Post’s 2016 Post & Go issue, Beetles and the 2017 Post & Go issue Fruits and Berries.
