Keeping our Posties and dogs safe.
Even the most lovable dogs can be a threat to our Posties and as a much-loved part of our community, out delivering five days a week (and Saturday mornings for parcels), it’s important that we ensure their safety. A dog’s instinct is to protect its territory so when a uniformed stranger appears at their home this can cause stress and anxiety for dogs, making our posties vulnerable to attack.
If you have a dog, and especially if it’s known to be territorial, please ensure you make this clear to our posties by displaying a sign on your property or using one of our special eTags.
Dog attacks can be harmful and have a lasting impact so taking a few simple precautions can make a world of difference.
This is a free webinar hoping to educate dog owners about best practices when receiving post.
