Jersey Post raise over £15,000 for Family Nursing & Home Care

Posted • 16 January 2025

Jersey Post has raised £15,280 for its 2024 Charity of the Year, Family Nursing & Home Care, exceeding the target set of £15,000.

Jersey Post has an in-house charity committee, made up of colleagues from around the business, who organise events to raise money and awareness. In 2024, the committee organised charity raffles, games, a very popular “race night”, and took part in volunteering events, and the Colour Run (where posties also delivered t-shirts to all 1,500 participants). Charity money pots were placed in the Broad Street and Rue des Pres Post Offices. The team also organised a free advert on one of its eco delivery parcel vans and a leaflet about the charity was delivered free-of-charge to all 45,000 households.

Mark Siviter, CEO of Jersey Post, says: “Community means everything to us. We’re proud to be able to support local charities, through fundraising and the giving of our time, as they do so much for so many islanders. It’s so important we all do our bit to support local causes and I’m delighted that so many of our colleagues have got involved and donated so generously to help us exceed our target.”

Rosemarie Finley,  CEO, from Family Nursing & Home Care says: “Mark and the team at Jersey Post have supported Family Nursing & Home Care (FNHC) in so many ways throughout 2024 and made a significant difference to us. Not only with the money they have raised to support FNHC’s services, but also with their time and commitment. Like FNHC, Jersey Post touches the lives of all islanders and supports the community in many ways, often unseen, so it’s been a particularly enjoyable working with them. We are so grateful for all their support.”

Since 2013, Jersey Post has raised over £150,000 through its Charity of the Year initiative, supporting many local charities including Jersey Child Care Trust, Headway Jersey, Macmillan Jersey, Les Amis and JSPCA.
