We’re committed to building a sustainable business for employees, customers, our island and the planet. As the largest ‘fleet on the street’ network on-Island, we aim to keep our carbon emissions as low as possible.

We’ve made significant strides towards reducing vehicle emissions, becoming the first large business in Jersey to roll out a greener fleet, either fully electric or running on biofuel.
Our goal is to achieve net zero carbon emissions of our Jersey operations (Scope 1 & Scope 2) by 2030 and across Jersey Post Group by 2040.
This ambition is aligned to the latest climate science, and a 1.5°C decarbonisation pathway to reduce our greenhouse gases (GHG), in support of the Paris Agreement and UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
We’ve reduced our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions in Jersey by 73% between 2021 and 2024. In 2025 we investing in Durrell's Rewild Carbon balancing programme to offset our remaining 66 tCO2e.
As a postal business we have an ongoing challenge to deliver approximately 90,000 items daily, which equates to our vans travelling approximately 675,000 miles per annum.
We’ve worked hard over the last 8 years to reduce our emissions in our operations. We’ve invested in electrifying our fleet and we’re the first large business in Jersey to roll out a greener fleet – of electric bikes, electric vans and the use of biofuel.
We continue to look for ways to reduce ‘miles travelled’. We offer alternative delivery services which help to reduce unnecessary travel, 50% of households are registered to use our SecureDrop service and many islanders frequently use our 24/7 parcel locker service.
In 2025 we invested in Durrell's Rewild Carbon balancing programme to offset our remaining 66 tCO2e.
The programme helps to reduce carbon in the atmosphere by rewilding threatened ecosystems - our involvement in the programme has helped to restore part of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil by planting and nurturing approximately 343 trees from a wide variety of native species. The Atlantic Forest is one of the most species-rich habitats on the planet, yet only 6% of it remains, in scattered fragments.
