Want parcels delivered even when you’re not home?

Our free SecureDrop service lets you select a safe and weather-proof location within your home grounds as an alternative to your letterbox, so you can receive larger items and even those requiring a signature when you’re not home. 

  • The location must be on your property - ideally a porch, shed, garage, log store.
  • We don’t ring the door bell and will put your delivery straight into your SecureDrop location. We'll pop a card through your door to let you know your package has been safely delivered.

How to apply

SecureDrop lets Jersey Post leave any item, including those that require a signature on delivery, in a designated SecureDrop location.

We provide you with a barcode to stick in the location of your SecureDrop.

If you aren’t in to receive a package that requires a signature we will leave it in your SecureDrop Instead.

Following a successful pilot, we are currently in the process of updating our SecureDrop service with the use of eTags. This a phased approach and is being rolled out round-by-round to existing customers. The delivery eTags are small and discreet and will be affixed in a visible location at your normal delivery point. When a delivery officer scans your eTag using their handheld device, it will

a) provide us with delivery information for your property
b) act as proof of delivery for your items
c) send you an email delivery notification.

By affixing an eTag, we can provide an improved and more reliable service as no matter which delivery officer is on your round, they will always have the correct delivery instructions when they arrive at your property as this will be stored on your digital tag.

When moving house, log on to your Jersey Post account and cancel your current service. Once at your new property, you can sign up for the service with your new address. Your eTag must not be removed or disposed of as it will become the eTag for the new residents.
