When insufficient postage is applied at the time of posting, Jersey Post will apply a surcharge that covers the cost of putting the item through the postal system.

If a surcharge is applied, it is the mail recipient who pays the postage shortfall at the point of delivery, if they wish to receive the item.

Lockers. Although we deliver most parcels in Jersey, there are other courier companies operating on the island who won't have access to your Jersey Post Locker.

To ensure you mail gets delivered to your locker your JPID must be quoted on the delivery address on your parcel.

 Secure Drop- Only items sent through Jersey Post's network will be delivered to your SecureDrop.

To register for secure drop simply log in to you/sign up to a Jersey Post account

You can sign up SecureDrop online.

Alternatively, you can obtain a form from any post office. The service is free and takes around 7 working days to set up.

SecureDrop lets Jersey Post leave any item, including those that require a signature on delivery, in a designated SecureDrop location.

We provide you with a barcode to stick in the location of your SecureDrop.

If you aren’t in to receive a package that requires a signature we will leave it in your SecureDrop Instead.

We are not currently taking anymore applications to our 24/7 Parcel Lockers.

No, there are two ways to apply.

  • By signing up to/logging into you Jersey Post account
  • By Printing and completing a SecureDrop form, found on the SecureDrop page, and bringing it into one of our post office branches.

Yes, Ship2me lets you send items to a UK address which is then forwarded on to your Jersey address.

To get started;

  1. Register for a ship2Me account. Once registered you will get a unique UK delivery address and a unique user ID so we know who to forward the mail on to.
  2. You then order your goods from the UK retailer using your Ship2me UK delivery address and unique user ID.
  3. Finally book your delivery through ship2me and they'll ensure your item makes it from the UK to you Channel Island home.

Royal Mail First Class and Special Delivery items take two working days to deliver once they are on island (excluding bank holidays and weekends).

Royal Mail Second Class items are delivered within three working days following date of receipt at our Jersey depot (excluding bank holidays and weekends).

All  items that arrive on the evening boat, are processed the following day, for  delivery the next working day .

For mail leaving the island;  

  • UK, other CI and IoM can take up to 3-5 working days.

Europe up to 7-10 working days

Rest of World destinations up to 10-12 working days
